On August 14, 2010, clients of south Florida non-profits were treated to a day out courtesy of GoldFellow®.

Children’s Harbor was one of the recipient organizations and its Thank You letter is published below.

GoldFellow® donated two hundred tickets to the 2010 pre-season Miami Dolphins opening game at Dolphins stadium to local charities and community service organizations like the Key club.  The local chapter of Key Club International in turn distributed the tickets to  Broward County’s Children’s Harbor organization, a non-profit which provides a safe haven for abused siblings going into foster care, pregnant and teen mothers already in the foster care system, and in-home counseling for families at risk of child abuse in an effort to keep the family safe and together.

Based in Weston, Florida, GoldFellow® is a national gold buyer recognized for raising the standards of the cash for gold industry through its commitment to customer service, education and transparent business practices.    Employees at the company’s corporate headquarters spearheaded the ticket giveaway effort as a way of giving back to their community and served as hosts on game day.  The company also donated bright yellow tee shirts to all ticket recipients.

Below is the  thank you letter sent to the local Key Club Office which distributed the tickets on behalf of GoldFellow®:

Thank You from Children's Harbor For Dolphin Ticket Donation

Thank You From Children's Harbor

Children’s Harbor Thank You for Dolphin’s Tickets

On behalf of Children’s Harbor, I would like to thank you for providing our children with the opportunity to attend the Dolphin’s Preseason game on Saturday, August 14, 2010.  The children had such an amazing time!  It is only through contributions from donors like you that we are able to fulfill our mission to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in foster care, therapeutic services to children and families in crisis, and advocacy within the child welfare system.

We provide care to large sibling groups, allowing them to remain together while in foster care.  Through our Foster Maternity Residence we provide a home and support for pregnant or parenting foster teens and their babies.  Meanwhile, our prevention services work with at risk families in an effort to keep the families safely together.

Thank you for helping Children’s Harbor provide services for a very needy population here in South Florida.  We appreciate your donation and look forward to your continued support.  Thank you.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Stewart
